- CNN.com – Five buzzworthy products from CES – Jan 6, 2006 » This year, beyond the ubiquitous cell phones, MP3 players and plasma TVs, we tried to find a few products that seemed unique to us. In no particular order, here’s a sampling of the shiny objects that caught our eye:
- Free Flash(y) Data Slider from Measure Map via. Tim O’Reilly » The date slider is a Flash visualization that Measure Map uses as one way to navigate the site. We are happy to provide a version of this date slider to the public.
- Russell Beattie Notebook » Avvenu Rocks » Avvenu allows you to use a web browser or mobile to access shared files on your PC. You can browser your folders, upload and download files, and share specific files or folders with a contact by adding their email address.
- Why I know Google will do an office suite and a desktop OS in 2006. – The Jason Calacanis Weblog » Google will come out with a Linux-based OS and offer it for free to PC makers. Those PC makers will love Google for giving them a free OS and Google will love extending the reach of their money maker: google Adsense.
- davidbau.com: Firefox Tipping Point (ex MSFT developer now working on XMLBeans at BEA) » last week a bit flipped in my head. It was not a conscious choice. I found that I was using Firefox rather than IE for ordinary browsing. I actually only noticed this fact when I had to switch to IE to test some HTML rendering.
